The italian manufacturer Delta launched in 1996 its first limited edition in celluloid dedicated to Pompei, the city buried under the ashes of Vesuvius in the first decades of our era.
The pen is made of celluloid with glorious colours (red, mother of pearl and grey) reproducing the colours of the frescos of the interior walls of pompeian villas.
The edition was of 1600 pieces, bringing this one the no. 1117/1600.
This pen is considered by many collectors as one of the most beautiful Delta’s pens and is reaching high prices in the collectors market.
This one is the pen of the 1996 first edition.
In fact, recently, Delta relaunched it made of vegetable resin.
The nib is of 18 ct solid gold.
